My new name is 'Afeitado.'   It means 'Shaved' in Spanish

(Mouse's idea).

Additionally, "Shaved" is not in compliance with the Role-Play Server Policy (http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowgm/?id=agm01725p) as it is a non-Medieval/Fantasy Character Name.  We at Blizzard feel that the Role-Play realm should be held to the highest standard of immersion with regards to character names.  While other realms allow you to play World of Warcraft, these realms are intended to let you live World of Warcraft.

Therefore, we regret to inform you that we are unable to reverse the account name changes previously issued.

Hi,
My name is Ben, and I was given this email address after contacting an
account representative this morning. I've got a simple question with a very
long story behind why the answer isn't clear. I'll ask the question up
front, explain the situation afterward, and copy/paste the emails I've
received regarding this matter at the end of this email.  I apologize for
the length of this email up front, as I know that you've got more important
things to worry about than some nelf's name.  = )

*The question is: Can I keep the name 'Shaved'?  Can you flag me for rename
without dinging my account for violating the TOS so that I can change my
name back to 'Shaved'?*

I know, this warrants some explanation.


The account name in question is '***********,' and the issue I'd like
addressed is that of the name of the *70 Night Elf Hunter (Twisting
Nether)*on the account, currently
*'Afeitado*.'  The name I leveled this character with was *'Shaved*,' and I
had that name for a year or so before I was reported for having a non-RP
name. My name was changed to *'Shavedwombat'* mostly because I was a little
upset at losing the name I'd had for a year. I appealed that name change
action (see the email chain below for details), and while the appeal was
pending, I was reported again- for the same reason. So I changed my name
again, this time to *'Shævd*.'

The appeal went through and I apparently won. So I changed my name back to *
'Shaved*.'  Within two days, I was reported again, this time for having an
inappropriate name.  So I changed it to *'Funfunfun'* out of complete
frustration with what was going on.  I also contacted a GM and made a report
of Harassment. At this time I informed the GM that I just wanted to have my
old name back, and that I wanted to be sure that I wasn't going to be
reported every 3 days.

Last night I got another email vaguely discussing the harassment claim I
made and also informing me that *'Funfunfun'* was not an RP name. So I
changed my name to *'Afeitado'* just so I could continue playing the game
for a half hour or so before bed.


*But here is where I'm conflicted. Was the email and rename flag last night
designed to say "go ahead and take your old name back"?  Or was I supposed
to take an innocuous name and blend into the background?*

I would take the second option and just give up on the name 'Shaved' if I
hadn't made such a name for myself on the server with it.  I run raids (PvP
and dungeons), I basically run the guild I'm in, and I'm a relatively
high-profile figure on the world PvP scene.  I also have an RP back story
and character traits, and I'd hate to have to try to explain all these name
changes.


On top of this, all of my in-game friends, associates, and contacts don't
recognize me.  It's getting stressful to just get a gem cut or an enchant
done.


I appreciate your attention to this matter, and I know that it's a very
complicated endeavor to run any kind of project of the magnitude of WoW.
