Spell & Talent Review

Elemental Talent Tree:

Tier One:
Convection (5pts)
Very helpful if you are going elemental spec, 10% mana reduction of LB, CL and Shocks will help with a class known for its mana eating abilities

Concussion (5pts)
Increases the damage of spells said above, if your elemental you'll end up putting 10 pts into the first tier alone.

Tier Two:
Earth's Grasp (2pts)
Helps with Stoneclaw and Earthbind. Neither is terrible important in PvE, and only the earthbind would have a slight benefit in PvP, I recommend skipping it.

Elemental Warding (3pts)
Reduces Fire, Frost and Nature damage. Doesn't particularly help a whole lot.

Call of Flame (3pts)
Not horrible to increase your flame totems dmg output, but you use totem of wrath if full elemental for PvE. Only really helpful for Resto spec.

Tier Three:

Elemental Focus (1pts)
Your take this if your elemental. Period. Clearcasting to reduce the next 2 spells mana cost by 40% helps with Elementals mana issues.

Reverberation (5pts)
I typically use this spot for my leftover points to get into the tiers past this one. Less cooldown time of shocks helps, put there are other talents that need those 1-2 extra points.

Call of Thunder (5pts)
Increasing the critical strike chance of LB and CL is a must for any elemental shaman, and required for Lightning Mastery.

Tier Four:

Improved Fire Totems (2pts)
If its important for Fire Nova totem to go off 2 seconds quicker take it, otherwise I usually ignore this one.

Eye of the Storm (3pts)
A must for PvP, gaining the focused casting means you can continue to spam the spells you need to without pushback.

Elemental Devastation (3pts)
This would only help an enchancement shaman, but even then they would rather use there points elsewhere.

Tier Five:
Storm Reach (2pts)
Increases the range of LB and CL. Its usually a call on the player, I tend to grab it myself.

Elemental Fury (1pt)
Incrases the critical damage of your spells and your fire totems, also required for Elemental mastery, a must have.

Unrelenting Storm (5pts)
Due to the changes with Mana Shield this talent has lost alot of its usefulness. If your have that much of a mana problem it can help some, but your better off with higher crit.

Tier Six:
Elemental Precision (3pts)
Increases your spell hit and the threat caused by your spells. One of the few threat reducing talents we have, take it.

Lightning Mastery (5pts)
Reduces the cast time of LB to 2.0sec. For elemental to be viable in damage this is required.

Tier Seven:

Elemental Mastery (1pts)
Automatic Crit when activated, duh.

Elemental Shields (3pts)
Useless for PvE and only semi-useful for PvP, abit too far down in the tree.

Tier Eight:
Lightning Overload (5pts)
Chance to send out a extra LB or CL weaker in damage but for free, used in any Elemental configuration.

Tier Nine:
Totem of Wrath (1pts)
This is an excellent totem for PvE with 3% increased spell crit rate, however it is useless in PvP compared to the Restoration Tree's Natures Swiftness.
